A Monumental
Mosaic of the Lubavitch Rabbi
Three years ago the
artist Tal Florentin created a work of art following the theme "A
person's emissary – as himself" (Shlucho Shel Adam - Kmoto). This
unique work of art is a monumental portrait of the Lubavitch Rabbi
composed of 2000 miniature pictures of Chabad’s emissaries (taken
from four emissary books). This photographic collage of emissaries,
which together form the greater picture of their beloved Rebbe, is
the utmost manifestation of the mentioned above proverb. This
one-of-its-kinds portrait was greatly appreciated and highly reviewed
when displayed throughout the Shluchim conventions worldwide.
An
updated Sequel
Following the
great success of the first portrait, a sequel masterpiece has been
produced, composed of pictures of hundreds of present Chabad
emissaries, who has registered in a unique project in the last few
months.
An Interactive
Website
Together with the new
work of art, an interactive website has been produced, providing
access to the personal information of each one of the emissaries and
identify their location on the globe.
Purchasing the
Artwork
We have made a great
effort to lower the prices of the artwork copies and enable each and
everybody to get a copy. The artwork is available in a high-quality
photo print poster or in on an a framed artist-canvas.
Further
Registration
For the Shluchim who
did not find the time to register there is still a chance. In the
coming year, before the next Shluchim convention, we intend to
produce a final version which will include all of the Shluchim
worldwide. |
